    1. I’ve GOT to get my sticky fingers on a copy of Six Gun Snow White. I did think a break from drooling over Valente might benefit my (few, noble, long-suffering) readers, though.

  1. Ah yes, I’m glad you loved this book! Oyeyemi is one of my favourite authors. Funnily enough, I’ve never thought to compare her to Valente – I’ve known her work longer than I’ve known Valente’s but both authors are now favourites. I’m still not sure how I feel about how the trans identity played into the end of the story, but that issue aside I think this is my second-favourite book by Oyeyemi (White is for Witching is a dear favourite!).
