Review Requests

I’m more than happy to receive review requests for almost anything, as long as it’s at least a distant cousin of the fantasy genre.  The invitation extends to fellow fantasy readers who just want to make recommendations, independent publishers, and self-promoting authors.  It does not extend to anything that could be called fan-fiction.  I don’t promise positive or timely reviews, because I’m very picky and very busy, but I welcome all suggestions.

To request a review, email me at alixeharrow (at) gmail.com, or leave a comment here.

ARCS and Galleys

I am not compensated in any way for the reviews on this blog, in accordance with FTC regulations.  All books reviewed are either purchased directly by me, or provided free of charge from the publishers or authors in exchange for an unbiased review.  Books received as Advance Reading Copies (ARCs) are noted in the review.

Comments

Comments are one of the wonderful tools that make the interwebs such a diverse and interactive space.  However, they’re also one of the tools that make the interwebs such an ugly, unfiltered, unhelpful space.  So, I reserve the right to reject any comments that do not contribute constructively to the conversation here at The Other Side of the Rain,  or anything that so much as hints at racism, sexism, or any other -ism.  (If you’re wailing to the screen, Oh my god that’s censorship! then you’re absolutely right).
